I was pulled over the other day and as a black American it can be a dangerous situation with cops. But throughout the whole situation I only answered questions that I knew were neutral and remembered my right not to speak and to ask why for every step. All that to say I was regulated the whole time. #18. The one where I found love again. (J's story)
I got married. And then I got divorced. And when I got divorced, I was sure that was it for me. As a man, when I get invested like that and it ends unexpectedly, it takes a lot out of me. #17. The one where I almost didn't make it to my graduation. (B's story).
Let me set the stage. It was pre covid era and I was excited for my graduation. Finally the time had come for me to wear that cap and gown and walk the podium for my people to be proud of me. I was so excited. So I went to the finance office to get cleared then they hit me with the news- my father had not paid the last semester fees like he had agreed with the finance department to do.
